What makes up the Zahamena National Park's ecosystem?
An ecosystem is made up of abiotic and biotic factors. An abiotic factor is a non living component in the ecosystem, and a biotic factor is a living component. Both abiotic and biotic factors make up the entire ecosystem. The abiotic factors in an environment affect how the biotic factors survive. Each ecosystem has specific abiotic factors that make up the environment that the biotic factors live in. Examples of abiotic factors include sunlight, soil, and rainfall. If the abiotic factors that are specific to the environment aren't there, then the biotic factors must adapt to the change in the environment. The biotic factors live in relation to the abiotic factors. The abiotic factors affect how the biotic factors live. Examples of biotic factors in this ecosystem include mammals and plants. Biotic factors get their energy from the abiotic factors. For examples: a plant uses the sun energy to release oxygen. Biotic and abiotic factors work together to help keep an ecosystem together. (1)
